Botox Cosmetic

Dermatologists Dr. Goldman and Dr. Dubow are expert injectors of Botox, and located in the Cedars-Sinai building in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

Goldman Dubow Dermatology Group offers state of the art rejuvenation for aging and photodamaged skin. We were among the very first practices in Los Angeles to offer Botox for cosmetic application and have performed thousands of procedures since that time. All of our procedures are performed by a physician (Dr. Goldman or Dr. Dubow), and never by a nurse or assistant. We take great pride in providing our patients with a naturally rejuvenated look and avoiding an overdone, plastic or expressionless appearance.

Botox

Botox® is a natural, purified protein that is injected into muscles in order to relax and smooth frown lines, forehead creases and crow’s feet. When you concentrate, squint or frown, you are causing your skin to furrow and fold which results in unwanted wrinkles. With the help of Botox injections, you will be able to block the nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduction in the muscle activity will reduce the appearance of deep lines and forehead furrows and your skin will become much smoother. While the results are dramatic, it will not radically change your facial appearance. The muscles are simply relaxed, so you can still frown, smile or look surprised without the wrinkles and creases.

How is Botox administered?

Botox injections for wrinkles are quick, simple and minimally invasive, offering great relief for patients on the go. Botox is administered as a series of small injections into very specific muscles in the face in order to achieve the desired effects. In most cases anesthetic is not required, however the area may be numbed with an icepack or topical anesthetic, especially if you are particularly sensitive. The procedure takes only a few minutes, after which you can return to your normal daily activities immediately. In some cases, you might feel a slight tingling sensation or soreness in the area for a brief period of time, but there should be no serious pain or other side effects. The effects of your Botox treatment will last up to six months and the treatment can be repeated as the effects wear off.

How long does Botox last?

Patients experience results quickly and they last for up to six months. With quickly noticeable results and no recovery time needed, it is no surprise that a countless number of patients and doctors decide on Botox.
